The Yellow Tang (Zebrasoma flavescens) is a saltwater fish species in the surgeonfish family.

It's a surgeon fish! Fear him he's scalpels.

Shot indoors through glass. (obviously)

How do you take photographs of aquarium fish? All of the ones that I have tried to take are either fuzzy, grainy, or out of focus. :(

You forgot too dark. It's really annoying to take photos there. >_> I have taken tons of photos there and most of them are really bad. But I don't want to bring a tripod either. Maybe that would work better.
With the grain... try to use a lower ISO... that helps sometimes.

I've try lowering the ISO, but when you shoot at those low shutter speeds, the fish move a blur the picture. I have one really good photograph of a tarpon, and that's because he was just hanging in the water. I'll have to post it ;)

I know :XD: That's why a tripod wouldn't be bad. Atleast you'd avoid blur from your own movement and taking continues shots would maybe help with the movement of the fish.
I haven't found an overall pleasing solution for taking aquarium shots though. :(

Yapp, da hast du recht! Ich hab sowieso immer Probleme mit der Schärfe wenn ich Glass+Wasser habe aber die Fischies sind ja auch noch so unruhig. >_<''
