Same. Did you know that having a black border forces the human eyes to look at the picture within. It's really handy for attracting the intended audience apparently. Just learnt it in Visual Design. =]
So do I. I love borders. I think it's why in art books all the pictures are surrounding by large blocks of pristine white, to attract the reader's attention to the text too. We had this really cool sub teacher for visual design and he spent the whole lesson talking to us about how the brain percieves different pieces of art. He was pretty funky. He showed us pictures of motorbikes and cars he'd made completely from stratch and I'm like: *_* He built the engines and everything.
